Ali Sharif
Ali Sharifi, born on March 29, 1983, in Shiraz, Iran, is a Drama Directing graduate from Azad
University of Shiraz. He ventured into professional photography and film directing in 2005,
creating short films and documentaries over the years. In 2015, at Shiraz Art House, he began
as Artistic Director and Manager of the film department, playing a pivotal role in co founding
the institution. During his tenure, he directed over fifty commercial videos, produced 4
stu dent films, and conducted workshops on analog photography (Tarik Khane) and
independent filmmaking. In 2020, he unveiled an experimental film “CHAOS,” filmed between
2019 and 2020, which was selected as one of Iran’s top 10 short films of 2021 by the Fidan
Film Festival. It also competed in the 37th Tehran International Film Festival (2021). In that
same year, he launched a filmmaking and video advertisement studio named Sharif Studio.
His latest film is “Elin.”
